Islaahi Kalisiya-e-Pakistan

Rev. Arslan Ul Haq

Pastor Arslan Ul Haq is the founding pastor of the Reformed Church of Pakistan. Born and raised in Bahawalpur City in the southern part of the Punjab province of Pakistan, he is the middle son of Christian minister Rev. Younas Masih Gill.

He received his early education from a local Roman Catholic school named St. Mary’s Middle School Bahawalpur, where he first learned about the German monk Martin Luther, albeit from a Roman Catholic perspective. Reading “The Pilgrim’s Progress” and the story of “Mary Jones and her Bible” ignited his passion for the Holy Bible and its teachings. After completing twelve years of intermediate and secondary education, he felt called to pastoral ministry and began his pastoral work in 2011. He is a graduate of Northwestern Theological Seminary, USA.

In collaboration with WBM, his ministry includes teaching, preaching, editing, translating, and writing books and articles. Currently, he serves as the moderator of the Reformed Church of Pakistan and president of the Sutlej Reformed Theological Seminary. Notably, he recently edited the Urdu edition of the Heidelberg Catechism, an achievement that garnered attention, leading to an interview with the Dutch newspaper Reformatorisch Dagblad.

Additionally, since 2020, he has served as the regional director of the South Asian Association for Reformed Churches (SAARC) and Asian Churches Together (ACT).
