Moderator of the Reformed Church of Pakistan calls for prayer

Dear pastors and congregations of the Reformed Church of Pakistan,

Let us come together to remember the victims of the tragic events in Jaranwala. In our prayers on the Lord’s Day tomorrow (August 20, 2023), please beseech the Lord’s protection and security for them. Let us pray for the removal of fear and despair from their midst. May the Christian community of Jaranwala, who have suffered financial losses, find restoration through the grace of God.

Furthermore, I urge all pastors to educate their congregations about the responsible use of social media. It is important that we promote awareness and mindfulness in our online interactions.

For those congregations wishing to express their concern regarding the Jaranwala incident (August 16, 2023), you may register a peaceful protest after the prayers under the guidance of your local pastor.

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. Amen and Amen.
